The Resources section: public menus, practical guides, and docs for sailing crews
crewmenu launches its Resources section — a public library of cruising menus, practical articles on galley cooking, and documentation for sailing crews. Free access, no account needed.
Why a Resources section?
crewmenu is built so that crews can coordinate their meals and provisioning together, without friction. But before even creating a crew space, many people are looking for ideas: what meals to prepare for a week in the Mediterranean? How to provision gluten-free? How to feed a vegan crew on the English Channel?
The Resources section answers that — with no sign-in required, no account to create.
What it contains
Public cruising menus
Complete, realistic, and verified menus, organized by sailing region, dietary profile, and trip length. Each menu offers:
- A day-by-day meal grid (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- An indicative provisioning list with per-person quantities — displayed as reference, never summed automatically
- Practical notes on onboard preparation and local sourcing
Menus cover a range of destinations: the Cyclades (Mediterranean), the English Channel, the Caribbean, and more to come. Filters make it easy to find a menu suited to your region and your crew's dietary constraints.
Practical articles
Factual guides on galley cooking, managing dietary restrictions, and provisioning in different contexts — by sailors, for sailors.
Documentation
Everything needed to understand how crewmenu works, set up a crew space, and make the most of features like the meal grid, linked grocery items, and the galley tab.
Built for sailing, from sailing
crewmenu is a standalone application, designed and developed by Technologies ebbDesk. The idea comes from the world of sailing instruction: the tools around a course or outing — planning, coordinating, keeping a record — have often stayed on paper and spreadsheets. crewmenu modernizes one of them: meals and provisioning, planned by the crew itself, with no account to create.
That same spirit drives Sailcasted (sailcasted.com), the other sailing product from Technologies ebbDesk: simplicity, mobile-first, friction-free access.
How to use the Resources section
Everything is accessible from /ressources in your preferred language (Canadian French, international French, English). No account is needed to browse menus and articles.
If you want to use a menu as the starting point for your own cruise, create a free crew space — you can adapt the meals, add your own grocery items, and share the grid with your crew via a simple 9-digit access code.
What comes next
The Resources section will grow with each sailing season: new menus by region, themed guides (offshore passages, charter boats, solar cooking), and expanded documentation. Community contributions are welcome — get in touch if you want to share a menu or a guide.
